To Agree or Disagree

To Agree or Disagree is an awesome game made for FBLA's Computer Game and Simulation Programming event for the 2024-2025 school year. It's a questionnaire which is also a game and is more fun than other surveys, you'll like it :).

If you are here specifically because this game was made for FBLA and are curious about the Computer Game and Simulation Programming event, here's a bit more about that aspect of this game. As of writing this I do not know my exact placement at nationals, however I do know that it was 15th or below as I did not make it to the final round. I did not fully enjoy making this game as I felt the topic this year was particularly challenging to work with. and I ended up writing a lot about it in the postmortem of this game. The year that I made this game, all of the games had to include ethical challenges in some way, which is a difficult thing to include without seeming preachy. I got to view the finalists for this event and they all seemed to have the same struggle as me in adding the ethical challenges in. If you are interested in making video games I would still recommend trying out this event, however you need to understand that your presentation will matter more than your game. Even if your game was literally as fun as Balatro or as insightful as Disco Elysium it wouldn't matter if the judges didn't think you checked the boxes of the rubric. Making a good game still matters, but it will not weigh into your scoring as much as you might think.
